In Care of The White House

Make art. Document it. Send it to The White House

(1) Make art

Create artwork in response to the politics, policies, and rhetoric of President Trump and his administration. These may be messages of hope, messages of concern, pronouncements of support, calls for change, etc.

While there is no size limit, these should be something that can be sent through the mail as easily as a postcard or placed within a standard sized envelope.

Make sure to include your address on the artwork, postcard, or an accompanying note so that The White House can reply to you.

To help ensure that your postcard or envelope makes it to The White House, please check out this summary of US Postal Service regulations: https://www.overnightprints.com/usps

(2) Document your art

Once you have created your work, scan or photograph all parts. This includes the front, back, envelope for mailing, and all written components.

Photographs must be of high quality (proper lighting, no blur, etc). Scans and photographs must meet format & size specifications outlined on the submission specs page to be accepted.

(3) Submit your documentation

As of May 29, 2018, we are no longer documenting artwork nor accepting submissions.

Once you have created your documentation, complete the submission form and upload your files.

You may submit .jpg image files, .docx and .pdf files, or .zip files. Please visit the submission specs page if you have any questions or feel free to contact me.

Projects will be posted as they are received.

(4) Mail your art to The White House

Address your mail to The White House as follows:

President Donald J. Trump
c/o The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Ave, NW
Washington, DC 20500

Affix postage stamps to your postcard or envelope (you may need to visit the Post Office to ensure proper postage). The Post Office’s Postage Price Calculator may help.

Drop it in the mail box.

(5) Document and submit the response

Hopefully The White House Office of Presidential Correspondence will send you a letter back. Please scan or photograph that letter (again meeting specifications) and submit that on the File Submission form too.
