How To Participate

There are two ways to participate:

In Care Of The White House
“In Care Of The White House”
Art As The Message
“Art As The Message”

Make art

Whether you’re going to mail the work or we are, you have to start with making the art. These may be messages of hope, messages of concern, pronouncements of support, calls for change, etc.

If you need suggestions on what to create, Art As The Message has a list of themes. There are links to the Trump administration’s policies on the resources page as well.

Submit your artwork

If you are participating in the original project (In Care of The White House), please submit documentation of what you have mailed. There is more information (including the White House address) on the project overview page.

If you are participating in Art As The Message, please submit a message to the president and digital image according to the specs on the submission specs page. We will create a greeting card and mail it on your behalf.

As of May 29, 2018, we are no longer accepting submissions

Complete the submission form and upload your files.

You may submit .jpg or .tif image files, .docx and .pdf files, or .zip files. Please visit the submission specs page if you have any questions or feel free to contact me.

Projects will be posted as they are received.

Document and submit the response

Hopefully The White House Office of Presidential Correspondence will send you a letter back. Please scan or photograph that letter (again meeting specifications) and submit that on the File Submission form too.
