Week 6 (4/9-4/15) theme for Art as the Message
This week we saw the President take a stand against the horrible chemical weapons attack in Syria and send in 59 cruise missiles to take out the airport from where the attack originated. And this week we saw tweets from years ago condemning the Obama administration for considering similar actions.
Trump’s was inspired to act because of the “slow and brutal death for so many”, stating” Even beautiful babies were cruelly murdered in this very barbaric attack. No child of God should ever suffer such horror.” He acknowledged that “the refugee crisis continues to deepen and the region continues to destabilize,” yet as taken no action to help the refugees and alleviate that crisis. Two executive orders have shown that he has no desire to help those affected by the Assad regime or ISIS.

This is the most recent example of Trump saying two different things on the same issue. Support of the people of this nation and the people of this world can not be only when it is politically convenient.
