As we prepare to celebrate our country’s birthday and founding, let us remember that there is still significant inequality and inequity within this country. Let us remember to give all persons (regardless of race, gender, orientation, etc) the respect they deserve and help each other achieve the same rights offered in the Declaration of Independence.
