Week 1 (March 5-March 11) theme for Art As The Message
It’s no secret that the repeal of the Affordable Care Act is near the top of the President’s agenda. This repeal puts access to affordable and preventive care at risk. Not to mention, it will take us back to a system further skewed toward male healthcare.
This week as we celebrate International Women’s Day / International Women’s Strike (#ADayWithoutAWoman), we recognize the necessity for Reproductive Justice. Following the Unity Principles of the Women’s March, we must also advocate for appropriate and affordable healthcare for the LGBTQIA community.
Additionally, this week we celebrate National Dentists Day (March 6), National Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Day (March 8), and National Women & Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day (March 10).
With so many days devoted to healthcare and health professionals, it’s a perfect time to make your voice heard regarding individual and community health.
